The Most Beautiful Beaches of Corsica

Between its crystalline sea, wild native scrubland and imperious mountains, Corsica truly deserves its nickname of Isle of Beauty. This island paradise with tropical appeal offers travelers some of the most beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean.

Renowned for its rugged beauty, Corsica never ceases to seduce the many tourists who come to explore its enchanting beaches every year. In the North, the Agriates region harbors for example the Plage de Saleccia, a white sandy beach stretchingalongside the native maquis scrubland, not far from the lovely town of Saint-Florent and within walking distance of the island’s famous coastal path.

A few kilometers away, north of Calvi, Ostriconi beach stretches for nearly 700 meters across the dunes, with the river of the same name flowing into the Anse de Peraiola bay for backdrop. But it is in the South that the island hides its most spellbinding beaches. In Porto-Vecchio, Palombaggia and Santa Giulia beaches are picture-postcard perfect with their mix of fragrant pine trees, red granite rocks and traditional beach huts.

And last but not least, nestled in the heart of a shell-shaped sheltered cove near Bonifacio, Rondinara beach immediately entices with its fine sand and clear water. These little corners of paradise prove just how exotic this part of the Mediterranean can be.
